Delta Kappa Gamma
May 14, 2014
New Waterford United Methodist Church

Ann Hall welcomed us due to Gayle's absence. Gayle has broken her leg and will be out of commission for awhile. Colleen Mathias brought her cousin as her guest. Jane Ramsey gave the blessing. A delicious dinner was enjoyed by all. There was even cake for our 75th Anniversary celebration! The highlight of the evening seemed to be the diamond ring napkin holders!

There was a brief business meeting. Mary Lou Hays made a motion to accept the minutes, and Nancy Dicken seconded it. Our Treasurer, Sharon Walker, reported that our checking account has a balance of $4106.66. Our savings account has a balance of $1338.36. Sandy Forbes made a motion to accept that report, and Connie Beadnell seconded it.

Unfinished Business: It was announced that Gayle has new member forms. Mary Lou reminded us about our web site. Sue had the scrapbooks for us to browse. Jane and Alana were going to take our paper goods to the Christina House.

Announcements: There is a Tri-County planning meeting on June 9th. Ann reminded us to be working on our Chinese auction baskets over the summer. There is an officer meeting on June 12th. Also, Ann told us to each take home a favor and a red rose.

Some special ladies were honored for their years of membership in DKG. They are:

Rose Castiglioni - 54 years
Lee Marra - 64 years
Kathryn Spillman - 69 years

Barb Lipp made a motion to adjourn our business meeting, and Colleen Mathias seconded it.

Nancy Dicken gave the necrology service. During this past year Helen Kulifay had died. She had been a 35 year member of DKG.

Induction of officers was held. The three inducted were President Ann Hall, First Vice-President Linda Lipp, and Second Vice-President Jackie Mercer.

Our Founders were mentioned. We enjoyed looking at their pictures. What was happening in 1939 was fun to read about! Finally, a group picture was taken. We sparkled with our smiles and our diamond rings!

Respectfully submitted,

Amy Johnson, Recording Secretary
