Alpha Iota members are being recognized for their contributions to Delta Kappa Gamma and the community.

Georgia Farmer won several awards at the 2014 Columbiana County Fair for her culinary and textile entries.

Nancy Dicken marked her 50th anniversary with the horse and pony competition at the 2014 Columbiana County Fair. She also received four ribbons for her culinary entries.

Jackie Mercer was awarded a Martha Holden Jennings Grant for classroom materials. Jackie attended the National Endowment for the Humanities program, "The Most Southern Place on Earth: Music, History, and Culture of the Mississippi Delta," in June.

Nancy Dicken was given the 2013 Outstanding Fair Supporter Award for years of dedication to the Columbiana County Fair.

Loretta Davidson received the East Palestine/Grand Chapter of Eastern Star Member of the Year Award.

The estate and trust of Gyla Sterns Nicely, deceased Alpha Iota member, established a perpetual memorial scholarship for students of East Liverpool High School with a $510,000.00 donation.
