Alpha Iota Chapter
April 9, 2015
The April meeting of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma was held at Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, Wellsville, Ohio. Due to a scheduling conflict President, Ann Hall, was unable to attend tonight’s meeting. First Vice President, Linda Lipp, welcomed the 15 members and called the meeting to order.
The March Minutes were read and a motion to accept them was made by Amy Johnson and seconded by Jane Ramsey. Sharon Walker presented the treasurer’s report. Expenses for March included $240.00 for dinner, $50.00 for the program, and $2.00 service charge with a balance of $4200.30 in the checking account the savings account balance is $1338.48. Sandy Forbes made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report and Nancy Perkins seconded the motion.
With the end of the school year approaching the discussion of the book scholarships was addressed. This year students from Leetonia and Lisbon school districts will receive the book scholarships. Jane Ramsey volunteered to present the scholarship to the recipient of Lisbon schools.
Next month we will celebrate Founders Day. This year the Founders Day Meeting will be held at Salem Hills Golf and Country Club, Salem Ohio.
Marilyn Porter made the motion to adjourn the meeting with a second from Nancy Dickens.
At the close of the meeting the members worked on blankets that will be delivered to the young adults who will soon be moving into their own home.
