President Ann Hall welcomed nine members to the breakfast planning meeting that was held at Das Dutch Haus Restaurant. The group discussed different possible meeting dates, locations, and ideas. The outcome of the meeting is as follows:
Tuesday, September 15, 2015 – New Waterford Methodist Church; presentation given by Jackie Mercer, Ann Hall, and Crestview High School students who traveled to London, Paris, and Madrid.
Wednesday, October 14, 2015- Catalpa Groves Farms, Columbiana, Ohio; Jenell Martin will walk the group through making of a cactus garden. Program will cost each member about $15.00 and each participant will take their garden creation home. The officers will provide desert and drink.
Thursday, November 12, 2015- Either Columbiana Public Library or East Fairfield United Methodist Church; presentation given by Dick Zilto; if held at the library we will have appetizers provided by the group, if at the church the church will provide the meal. A donation will be given to the library in honor of the presenter, Dick Zilto.
Wednesday, December 9, 2015- East Palestine Presbyterian Church, program will be Christmas music, meal provided by the church, members will bring nonperishable food to be donated to Columbiana Way Station.
Tuesday, March 8, 2016- Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church or Inverness; if at the church members will bring a dish to share with the other members. If at Inverness the meal will be provided at a cost of $8.00 per member. We will make placemats for Columbiana County Meals on Wheels. Members will also bring baby items that will be used as a project for the May meeting.
Thursday, April 14, 2016- Beavercreek State Park, program given by the Beavercreek State Park Wildlife Center; with a donation going to the Beavercreek State Park Wildlife Center. The members will bring a covered dish.
Tuesday, May 10, 2016- Salem Hills Country Club, Salem, Ohio; program will by Founders Day Birthday Celebration. The members will be dressed up and wear hats and gloves. We will put together baby gift bags for babies born at Salem Regional Hospital, Salem, Ohio during the month.
Dues will remain the same as last year.
Ann Hall moved to close the meeting with Amy Johnson and Jackie Mercer seconding the motion.
